I have been a staunch Buddhist since I was a child，which has made me unbearable to be hostile to other people from the bottom of my heart. On November 10^th, 2021, Lu Junhong, the founder of the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door and director of the Australia Oriental Radio, passed away in Sydney. After Lu's death, some people rejoiced and others grieved. Millions of Lu's disciples at home and abroad suddenly lost their spiritual support, which inevitably caused restlessness. It is the responsibility of a Buddhist to guide other Buddhist believers out of confusion, get back on track, and abide by upright belief and conduct.

I spent a long time in studying Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door and Lu. The number of practitioners of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door is huge, and the large-scale puja activities spread across all continents and all walks of life.

The propaganda that the totem could be seen on the spot is simply amazing, and the devotion and worship of believers to Lu is truly touching. I would have been attracted to it without years of theoretical research and practical experience in religion. Most people always show an inexplicable awe and blind obedience to things they can't see. When it comes to something that people can't see, if there is no way to prove and refute it, they can only choose to believe it or not, and people often choose to believe it. This is also why those new religions that are mysterious and out of touch with reality are always easy to spread. In fact, there are countless real-name complaints and reports about Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door and Lu.

First of all, Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door uses some concepts and theories of Buddhism, but the interpretation is superficial. For example, the interpretation of basic Buddhist concepts such as "five aggregates" and " Dvadasangapratityasamutpada" is completely inconsistent with Buddhist teachings, and he even proposed to "recite scriptures, release life, and make wishes". It is a whole new set of sayings about the "Triratna", which is fundamentally different from authentic Buddhism.

Secondly, Lu invented the "little house" method to drive away diseases, announced that he could cure all diseases. No eminent Buddhist has ever declared himself to be the incarnation or spokesperson of a certain Buddha or Bodhisattva, but Lu claimed to be the incarnation of Guanyin Bodhisattva, with 48 Dharmakayas that can save people in dreams, claiming that he has the ability of mediumship and believers can be guaranteed safe and sound. Unfortunately, Lu died when he was 62 years old.

Finally, there are now more than 3 million followers of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, and most of them are Chinese believers. Lu held many pujas overseas each year, taking advantage of the believers' reverence for ghosts and gods. Through setting up merit boxes, holding apprenticeship activities, selling items, and releasing animals, etc., Lu had accumulated large –scale properties.

Hereby，I just want to express some opinions from my point of view.

Firstly, it's about the attitude of Buddhists. Buddhism has a complete set of values ​​and ways of life, which is different from the secular thinking mode and way of life. Secular thinking is to seek truth from external things, while Buddhist must seek truth from their own hearts. When Buddhist encounter something, they will first reflect on themselves, find answers from their own hearts, and do not cling to external appearances.

Secondly, some advice for the public. We will find that each person is worthy of respect and understanding from his special starting point, each person is a very real, magnanimous and kind, and full of uprightness. We don't understand them just because we're not in their situation. There is suffering, but no one actually suffers. In the same way, there are various concepts, but no one can directly bind with these concepts. If everyone can understand this, there will be more respect and understanding, and less confrontation and struggle.

Finally, Inspiration for the religion community from Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. From the perspective of the historical development of religion, secularization is an irresistible trend. This is also the historical causes that prompted the birth and development of "Humanistic Buddhism". "Humanistic Buddhism" is people-oriented, while the majority of believers should not follow blindly due to the extreme nature of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. No matter what religion they believe in or which sect they follow, they should proceed from their current reality, respect individual differences, respect nature, avoid superstitions, mysteries and disputes, and live a good life, so as not only to protect yourself, but also to protect others and your own beliefs.
