On December 13, the First Global Digital Ecosystem Conference 2022 hosted by Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce was successfully held in Hangzhou International Expo Center. Taking the opportunity of holding the Global Digital Trade Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Digital Trade Fair"), the conference focused on the professional forum of digital trade ecology with the theme of "new technologies, new formats and new models", gathered outstanding talents in the industry, promoted full exchanges and cooperation in the industry, promoted the healthy, prosperous and orderly development of China’s digital ecology, and jointly explored in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the field of international digital ecology. The conference invited more than 20 speakers and more than 300 professional audiences from home and abroad to participate offline, as well as guests from embassies and consulates of New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, the Netherlands, Egypt, Belgium and other countries, and audiences from more than 30 countries to participate in the conference through synchronous cloud on domestic and foreign live platforms.
At the opening ceremony, Hu Zhenfang, Deputy Director General of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, introduced the development achievements of digital trade in Zhejiang Province, affirmed the important role of digital ecology conference in the development of digital trade in Zhejiang, and raised expectations for the conference to help build a golden card of "digital free trade zone". Later, Xu Qingshan, Deputy Secretary General of Hangzhou Municipal People's Government, believes that the "Global DT Trade” plan jointly launched by Informa Group and Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Group "has opened up more space for enterprises to expand their trade needs. It is also expected that the Digital Ecosystem Conference, as an industry innovation conference, will continue to empower enterprises to achieve digital transformation and development, as well as exchange and cooperation between enterprises at home and abroad, and become an exchange and cooperation platform with far-reaching international influence. Finally, Gong Kangkang, Vice President of Informa Asia and Managing Director of Informa China, on behalf of Informa Group, thanked Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce for their guidance And Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and expressed the hope that with the help of this cooperation with Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Group, we will jointly explore the docking of industrial resources from more than 30 countries and regions and 15 major industries in the world to Hangzhou, so as to help Hangzhou become a highland and demonstration area of global digital ecological construction in more scenarios.
Later, Mr. Li Jian, Chairman and General Manager of Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Group, and Ms. Gong Kangkang, Vice President of Informa Asia and Managing Director of Informa China came to the stage to sign the strategic cooperation agreement of "Global DT Trade". The two sides will use the "Global DT Trade" plan to integrate global trade resources, help industrial trade expand and reach the world, promote the digital transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and promote the deep integration of offline and online. The "Global DT Trade" plan will focus on the advantageous industrial resources and industrial needs of Zhejiang Province, including emerging development industries such as biomedicine, high-end equipment, and intelligent Internet of Things, provide enterprises with integrated industrial trade expansion solutions, help Zhejiang build a global digital trade center, and help Hangzhou build a digital trade center.
In the second stage of the main forum, Tan Jianrong, an academician of the CAE Member, a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor of Zhejiang University, and Bill Rossue, an academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the European Academy of Sciences, led the keynote speech of the conference, and also invited Ben Shenglin, president of the International United Business School of Zhejiang University, and Larry Jia , vice president of the Greater China Research Institute of the International Cloud Security Alliance, Prabhat Kaul, global vice president of Infosys, and Andreas Hube, former global vice president of SAP, jointly discussed how to promote the healthy development of digital ecology and digital economy from the perspective of international cooperation in the direction of digital economy and technology, blockchain, digital security, enterprise digital transformation, etc. In addition, two sub-forums, "Digital Application and Technology" and "Digital Globalization", were set up at the same time. The Global Digital Trade Expo is an important task specified by the State Council in the expansion plan of the Zhejiang Pilot Free Trade Zone in 2020, an important measure to build a national-level global digital trade exchange platform and a digital economic achievements exhibition window and the only national and global professional expo with digital trade as the theme approved by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
The first Digital Trade Fair was held in Hangzhou International Expo Center from December 11 to 14 this year. It was jointly hosted by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and the Ministry of Commerce, and co-hosted by the People's Government of Hangzhou, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, and the Foreign Trade Development Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce. As one of the important forums of the first Digital Trade Fair, the conference gave full play to the talent-gathering advantages and industrial foundation advantages of the Yangtze River Delta in digital technology, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, financial technology and other fields, aiming to promote full communication and cooperation between upstream and downstream industries, present the diversity of healthy development of digital ecology, and promote the healthy, prosperous and orderly development of China’s digital ecology.
