Located in the northwestern part of the central urban area of Zibo, Qisheng Lake Park covers an area of over a thousand acres. The name "Qisheng Lake" not only expresses the hope for Zibo's continuous development but also pays homage to the historical prosperity of the Qi State, which was recorded as a place of flourishing abundance where people stood shoulder to shoulder. This name reflects the historical openness and inclusivity of the region. Additionally, the park features various designs incorporating the character "齐" (Qi), such as in the shape of streetlights, decorative roof tiles, and patterns on coins, all of which exhibit distinct local cultural characteristics.
The park is a harmonious blend of interconnected water bodies, unified landscape styles, and rich cultural ambience. It serves as a comprehensive urban park that combines aquatic and botanical landscapes with natural leisure and cultural elements. Walking along the tree-lined trails, gazing from the wooden boardwalk, you'll be greeted by the shimmering lake and pavilions over the water. Looking eastward from the northern hill, there's a waterfall behind and before you stands a pavilion, ancient lamps, rock formations, and verdant pine trees. Ascending the mountain path, you'll reach the Qisheng Pavilion, where you can overlook the panoramic beauty of the park, presenting a unique structure of "one ring, two axes, one pavilion, twelve scenes."
To cater to the daily exercise needs of citizens, the park has developed and upgraded the western half of the island loop as a health-themed trail promoting "exercise, health, and happiness." Many residents come here daily to "check in," whether it's for a leisurely stroll, brisk walk, or jogging, all while reaping the rewards of physical well-being and joy.
With the central Haidai Tower as its focal point, the park forms a circular landscape band. The eastern side focuses on natural leisure landscapes, while the western side highlights cultural landscapes, interconnected in a way that makes it the most anticipated scenic spot in Zibo's new urban area.
The park ingeniously integrates various historical and cultural elements, such as ceramic culture, Shao music culture, and Qiwadang culture, as well as diverse botanical features. The Yuelun Building complex, positioned along the water's edge, features a series of pavilions and corridors. The main structure, Shuixuan (Water Pavilion), boasts an antique four-sloped roof, lattice windows, and a waterside platform, exuding a strong sense of ancient charm and embodying the style of a Jiangnan garden.
In essence, Qisheng Lake Park offers a serene retreat where nature, history, and culture coalesce, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its beauty and tranquility.
